Assistant Secretary-Treasurer
Cynthia “Cindy” Vaughan of Northampton County has proudly represented District 9 on the Roanoke Cooperative Board of Directors since 2022. A committed community leader, Cindy balances her board duties with her role as Assistant Vice President, loan officer, and customer service representative at Southern Bank, where she works daily to support local families and businesses.
In addition to her professional work, Cindy is deeply involved in her community. She serves as President of the Roxobel Community Center and is the owner and operator of Roxobel Mini Storage. She is also active in several committees at Sandy Run Baptist Church, contributing her time and talents to help strengthen local connections.
Since joining the board, Cindy has embraced the opportunity to learn more about cooperative governance and the vital role Roanoke Cooperative plays in improving the lives of its member-owners. She is driven by a strong desire to ensure that every decision helps build a stronger, more vibrant community.
Looking ahead, Cindy remains dedicated to advancing the cooperative’s mission and meeting the evolving needs of its members. She believes in the power of collaboration and is honored to serve alongside others committed to making a positive impact—working together to move the cooperative and the community forward.
