In this month's edition of The Power Pulse, we're excited to share some fantastic news about our Upgrade to $ave program! Our aim is to perform even more upgrades at member-owners' homes, building on the impressive 650 projects completed to date.
The Upgrade to $ave initiative is a crucial part of our commitment to helping our member-owners reduce energy bills through various upgrades, including improved insulation, duct and air sealing, heat pump enhancement, water heater wrap, and LED lighting. This program not only benefits our member-owners but also contributes to a more sustainable and energy-efficient future for our community.
Here's the remarkable part: Member-owners are experiencing net savings of $10 to $15 per month, even after we add the recovery charge. This charge ensures that we're repaid for the initial investment in the home, ensuring a sustainable cycle of savings. This program not only helps you save energy, but it also serves as a powerful model for you to partner with us in reducing some of our most expensive wholesale power purchases. It's a win-win!
Now, we're reaching out to you, our invaluable member-owners, to help us enlist more contractors into the program. This expansion will enable us to increase program participation, offer additional energy efficiency opportunities, and enhance our ability to flexibly utilize the electrical grid in serving you.
Additionally, we're thrilled to inform you that we have dedicated funding available to address health and safety concerns at homes, ensuring a smooth enrollment process into our Upgrade to $ave program. Urgent repair items such as roof repairs and replacement, asbestos removal, gas leak mitigation, mold removal, and retrofitting structural concerns are all covered.
Your support in this endeavor will make a significant impact, not only in your fellow member-owners' lives but also in the overall sustainability of our community.
For any contractor recommendations or inquiries, please contact one of our team members today. Thank you for being a part of the Roanoke Cooperative family, and for contributing to a brighter, more energy-efficient future.
Sincerely,
Marshall Cherry
