Roanoke Cooperative was proud to be part of ElectrifyNC 2025, hosted by North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives, where leaders and future innovators gathered to explore the future of energy.
Representing Roanoke Cooperative were Basil Williams, Sr. Manager of Member Services, Communications and Public Relations; Angella Dunston, Coordinator of Public Relations and Engagement; and our two newest Public Relations interns, Kristin Outland and Amaya Harmon.
Angella Dunston shared:
“With my Public Relations interns, Kristin Outland and Amaya Harmon, we engaged in an insightful discussion about issues in energy, emerging technologies which focus on helping communities save on utility costs, reducing emissions, and ways to improve grid flexibility. I look forward to participating in future opportunities to engage in efforts to help consumers save! By my expression, you can see how intrigued I was by these emerging technologies!”
Kristin and Amaya also had a great experience, describing the event as insightful, informative, and fun.
Events like ElectrifyNC 2025 are key to staying connected with innovative solutions that help our communities thrive. We’re excited about the future and proud to be part of shaping it!
