As the Thanksgiving holiday approached, Roanoke Cooperative employees banded together to share gratitude with their community. In a gesture of appreciation, the team provided turkeys, canned food, and care packages to 185 member owners, highlighting the co-op's commitment to supporting those we serve.
The initiative, a part of the company-wide program named "Roanoke Cooperative Gives One Community at a Time" (RCGone), demonstrates the co-op’s commitment to social responsibility and a spirit of giving. Through RCGone, Roanoke Cooperative intends to make a meaningful difference, one community at a time, fostering a culture of giving back that extends beyond the immediate program.
"At Roanoke Cooperative, we recognize the importance of giving back to the communities we serve, especially during this season of gratitude," stated Basil Williams, Sr. Manager of Member Services, Communications, and PR. "Our employees are passionate about supporting our member owners, and this Thanksgiving Giving program is a testament to their dedication to making a positive impact."
Roanoke Cooperative's Thanksgiving Giving Program serves as a reminder that small acts of kindness can create a significant ripple effect, inspiring others to embrace the culture of giving and fostering a stronger, more compassionate society.
