Through its ongoing commitment, Operation RoundUp has provided essential funding to numerous organizations, fostering their initiatives to address diverse community needs.
The 3rd quarter grant winners are as follows:
Rich Square Fire & Rescue, Rich Square - $2,982.46
Sylvan Heights Bird Park, Scotland Neck - $616.00
Ahoskie Food Pantry, Ahoskie - $2,500.00
Mill Neck Rosenwald School, Como - $616.00
Blue Jay Vol Fire Department, Windsor - $5,000.00
These commendable organizations have demonstrated exceptional dedication to their causes, showcasing the diversity of support Operation RoundUp extends to a wide range of sectors, including emergency services, conservation, food security, education, and community development.
As we move into the 4th quarter, Operation RoundUp is excited to invite non-profit organizations within the service area to apply for grants up to $5,000. The application deadline for the 4th quarter is Friday, December 29, 2023. The committee will convene to review applications and announce grant recipients in January.
To be eligible, organizations must possess 501(c)3 status or IRS-designated non-profit status. Applicants who have previously received grants are encouraged to provide an activity sheet outlining the utilization of previous grant funds before applying for new grants.
Organizations that have benefited from Operation RoundUp grants encompass a diverse spectrum, from arts organizations to fire departments to educational centers. They share a common commitment to education, charitable causes, and economic development, striving to uplift underserved populations and areas within the community.
