We had an amazing time connecting with our member-owners from Halifax and Northampton Counties at the Today, Tomorrow, Together Forum held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. The meeting was held at Halifax Community College and included a strong discussion on all things related to Energy and Broadband. During the comments and questions portion of the forum, Ms. Mildred Crowell shared her thoughts regarding her experiences with Roanoke Cooperative and Fybe. Not only did she share how it important it was for her to attend the forum, she also took the time to share her experience with having Fybe installed at her home.
"I've always been excited to attend all the meetings, especially before COVID, to stay updated with what's happening at Roanoke Cooperative." She goes on to discuss her Fybe experience as a seamless process that was well worth the wait.
"When I received the notice in the mail about signing up for the internet, I immediately called and confirmed. I've had Fybe for about a year and a half now, and I'm so pleased with it!" she shared with us.
Ms. Crowell also told us about her previous struggles with internet and phone services. "I used a Verizon hotspot, which was expensive and didn't work well. My phone service was also terrible. When I discovered I could get both internet and phone service through Fybe, I switched immediately. It was more affordable than my previous setup, and the service is amazing."
We were thrilled to hear that their son, who knows a lot about technology, even commented on how clear and beautiful the pictures are. "The internet speed is fantastic," she added.
Switching to Fybe was seamless for her. "The service only goes out when there's a power outage, but otherwise, I have no issues," she said. And we're especially proud of Tremayne, who made a lasting impression. "He made me feel comfortable and showed me how to set up my computer and everything. Everyone from Roanoke Cooperative who has visited my home has been genuinely nice and I've had no problems whatsoever with Fybe."
