Broadband Expansion in Northeastern NC
Our strides in expanding broadband services continue as we focus on ensuring that every member-owner has access to this essential service. Fybe, our broadband subsidiary, is at the forefront of this endeavor. We're making substantial headway, pushing the boundaries to extend this service across our cooperative's footprint.
In line with an aggressive growth strategy, we're investing significantly to bolster and fortify our business. These investments lay the groundwork for pivotal years ahead, namely 2024 and 2025. During this time, expect impactful strides toward securing universal access for all member-owners.
Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, our projections suggest that the broadband business is paving the way to leverage the benefits of this investment. This progress holds the potential to notably enhance the value proposition for our entire membership.
Electrical Infrastructure Expansion
In tandem with our broadband initiatives, we're also expanding our electrical infrastructure. This year marks a milestone as we add the 13th electrical substation to our system. This expansion is crucial to accommodate anticipated electrical load growth, which presents opportunities for our cooperative and spreads costs more efficiently across the membership.
We recognize the short-term absorption of these investments and operational costs but are confident in the long-term benefits they will yield. Notably, these strategic efforts will play a pivotal role in managing and potentially reducing rising electric costs in the future.
Member-Owner Engagement and Programs
Engaging our member-owners is paramount to our success. In 2024, we will place a heightened emphasis on member-owner participation. We're rolling out targeted programs designed to benefit individuals and, collectively, strengthen our cooperative.
